He's awake before she is, but not all that much earlier. Just early enough, though, to get up, poke his head out the door, then investigate the kitchen. What do skeletons eat and drink, other than apparently tequila?
Not a whole lot, is the answer. There's a paltry sack of coffee beans on a shelf that looks dusty, and he can't for the life of him figure out where a grinder is or what it would look like in this time period. There's a jar of cornmeal though, and some salted pork and a bowl full of fresh eggs. Well, hell, those look pretty good.
But judging by where the sun is in the sky, maybe it's better to just wait, so he comes on back to the room to see her squinting against the sunlight.]
