[One of the most fascinating aspects of time travel is seeing the different bathrooms and how they've evolved over time. The period they're in right now is definitely crude compared to 1967, but it seems reasonably functional. Maybe close in time to when they were at Virginia Beach.
Then again, as she actually sits and uses the toilet she realizes it's a wooden bench with a hole in it. There's no way to flush, it just goes down somewhere. Gross.
There is a bucket in the corner...and instead of running water in a sink there's just a basin that's holding water. Water that definitely looks already used. She quickly pees and washes her hands in the water without thinking about it too much. There's absolutely none of it being splashed on her face though.
Once she's done she opens the door and sticks her head out.]
Johnnie, come in here for a minute.
[As soon as she pulls him inside and shuts the door again, she gestures over to the toilet.]
Go ahead and go. I'm not gonna watch or anything! It's just that I'm not waiting out there by myself in the dark. I think we're definitely before 1900 here, and people are always weird toward me in those times. We can try to get a beer, but I bet you anything that guy's gonna comment on how I'm dressed and be weird because we're here together.
