Yeah! C'mon.

[Her explanation makes sense and is also not surprising in the least, given what he knows of her history in that shitty little town. It's why she clung so hard to him the moment he gave her the opportunity to get out, he knows that. It's why his family is her family now. So yeah, she feels so strongly because there's so much of him that's critically important to her.

So he gets it. It's hard to be as deeply obsessed in return, but that's okay. At least he understands where it comes from.

Swimming trunks on, he throws on a t-shirt and socks just for now to make their way to the pool, and reluctantly leaves his knife and pistol where they are. Better to let them stay here than to have them sitting out poolside. They can grab their hotel towels for this, meanwhile - might as well.

He holds the door as they leave and head around to the pool just adjacent to the room. It's midday and quiet in here right now, with most families having checked out or having yet to arrive. They have the place to themselves and to one janitor doing a quick mop-through while it's quiet. Johnnie ditches the shirt, shoes, and socks combo by a bench and flings himself into the water with a whoop and a splash.]

Whoo! Yeah, that's the ticket!
